St. Michael's College School, Under the direction of the Basilian Fathers

168 YEARS STRONG

'168 Years Strong' remembers the storied history of St. Michael's College School that the Basilian Fathers began writing in 1852. It commemorates the efforts of teachers and staff in forming young men of faith, character, and service, honours the success of graduating thousands of young men in goodness, discipline, and knowledge, and celebrates the community for sustaining the school's mission and vision for well over a century and into the future.

Our Differentiators

Service

A varied range of Christian and Community Service initiatives involve every St. Michael's College School student, at each grade level --- through a total of 80 hours combined of required involvement --- teaching empathy, compassion and goodness, and making a lasting impact.

Mentorship

Developing young men of character to become tomorrow's leaders and change-makers requires direct interaction with and consistent exposure to strong mentors. Our structured mentorship programme involves participation from key members of the SMCS community --- past and present.

Community

It takes a village to help young boys achieve academic, artistic, and athletic excellence. A community of faculty, staff, alumni, parents and key stakeholders form important connections with students --- which start before, continue during and remain after their SMCS journey.

Spiritual Life

Exemplifying goodness in word and deed, and living with compassion and empathy by understanding the teachings of the Catholic faith, are cornerstones of the spiritual life education at SMCS. Embedded in the every day life of the school, this part of his formation is foundational to nourishing each student's mind and soul.
